Christie Goshe provides filmmaking/video production and photography services for nonprofits, couples and families, and corporate clients.
I have been working as a filmmaker and photographer in Oakland for the past five years, at first freelancing on the side but eventually trading in my 9-5 for an adventure in running my own show.
My approach to nearly everything I do is documentary; capturing real life, honest moments, and the characteristics of people and places in time. I shoot on a Canon 5D Mark III and appreciate a minimalistic yet versatile kit that frees me to roam and travel easily.
It's all about cultivating a story. Part one, shooting what unfolds; part two, editing it down to the good stuff. The whole process requires a lot of consideration and organization, and the more collaboration, the better. I’m flexible, full of good ideas, will travel most anywhere, and can roll with just about anything.
I have a BA from Bennington College in Vermont, grew up in rural Ohio, and I absolutely love Oakland and its art community, awesome weather (sorry, San Francisco), and friendly folks. I ride my bike around a lot, eat a lot of kale, and enjoy people-watching and running at Lake Merritt.

I shoot on good gear and have a Type A personality that lends particularly well to creativity and organization. Plus a heart of gold.
